Marc is a Senior Lead Lawyer in the Belgian offices. He advises clients on all aspects of financial services regulation, structuring and litigation, with an emphasis on blockchain-related projects. Before joining DLA Piper, Marc gained substantive experience as a lawyer in the corporate finance department of another reputed international law firm, where he focused on public capital raisings and M&A work.

Marc obtained a PhD from KU Leuven (Belgium), Europe’s most innovative university according to Reuters. He has published several articles on corporate law, financial law and blockchain, including a first in the Belgian literature on crypto-securities. Marc has law degrees from KU Leuven and University of Antwerp. He is a Research Fellow at KU Leuven's Institute for Insolvency Law.
