Call for input Consip explores AI and innovation in healthcare equipment management services

On November 20, 2025, Consip S.p.A. (the national procurement agency) published a market consultation document on “Innovative healthcare equipment management services.”

The aim of the future tender is to collect – free of charge and confidentially – contributions, suggestions and comments from interested parties to identify innovative, effective and sustainable market solutions in relation to innovative healthcare technology management services. Interested parties must complete a questionnaire and send it within 15 days from November 20. All information collected by Consip will be used exclusively to develop the future tender.

This is an opportunity for companies in the sector to illustrate and advertise their solutions. It also means they can inform Consip about the best solutions on the market and provide input on the economic and technical elements that need to be considered for future public tenders.

By responding to this market consultation, economic operators will also be able to illustrate solutions that use AI.

The implementation of AI solutions is of extreme interest to Italian public administrations. Article 14 of Law 132/2025 came into force on October 10, 2025. It requires public administrations to use AI to increase the efficiency of their activities, reduce the time taken to complete procedures, and increase the quality and quantity of services provided to citizens and businesses, ensuring that interested parties are aware of how it works and that its use is traceable. To implement the provision, there's currently an information gap that can only be filled with the support of economic operators.
