Brian Hamano represents clients in a broad range of US and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.

Brian has been recognized by both Chambers USA and The Legal 500 United States.

Brian's practice also includes representing insurance companies, managing general underwriters and managing general agents in connection with evaluating and underwriting US and international tax risks, and on managing and resolving claims under tax insurance policies.

Brian regularly advises founders and start-ups on the business and tax aspects of company exit strategies and the "qualified small business stock" exemption under Section 1202 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Brian has been a speaker at numerous tax conferences (including the USC Gould School of Law Tax Institute and for Tax Executives Institute) and has written for Tax Notes.
