• Member of the legal team in charge of the environmental aspects of the recent acquisition of Iberdrola's assets in Mexico from Grupo Cox (Cox) for US$4.2 billion – one of the largest cross-border energy deals of 2025
• As DLA Piper Mexico's environmental co-counsel, he represented Coeur as on a recent compliance investigation with complex underlying national waters components related to a mining project
• Represented Unilever and participated along DLA Piper Mexico in a project entailing the purchase of land and development of a brand-new industrial project in the State of Nuevo León, close to the US border
• Member of the legal team in charge of the environmental aspects of the acquisition of the Mexico-based properties from one of the largest hotel groups worldwide
• Served as environmental co-counsel in the M&A acquisition of the pharmaceutical business of a large international chemical company, comprising 10 facilities in Mexico

Carlos is committed to his pro bono work, advocating for victims of human rights violations through strategic litigation.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Carlos worked at prestigious law firms in Mexico City as an Associate, Junior Associate and Law Clerk with a focus on Environmental Law. He specialized in contracts, due diligence, M&A transactions, and day-to-day legal advice to local and international companies.
