• Barkan v. Sprint Communications and CommScope – Eastern District of Texas. Represented defendant CommScope in a patent infringement suit involving distributed cellular network base station and transceivers
• Realtime Adaptive Streaming LLC v. ARRIS Solutions, Inc. – District of Colorado. Represented ARRIS in defense of two consolidated district court cases, multiple IPRs, and two CAFC appeals involving a total of five patents relating to video compression
• Gabriel De La Vega v. Amazon – Western District of Texas. Represented defendant Amazon in a patent infringement suit
• Google v. Oracle – U.S Supreme Court. Lead author of amicus brief on behalf of the American Intellectual Property Law Association in landmark copyright case
• Certain Flash Memory Devices and Components Thereof (337-TA-1034) – Represented respondent SanDisk in multi-patent 337 investigation before the ITC concerning power consumption and data addressing in flash memory devices
• Certain Electronic Products, Including Products With Near Field Communication (“NFC”) System Level Functionality and/or Battery Power-Up Functionality, Components Thereof, and Products Containing Same (337-TA-1058) – Represented respondent Dell in multi-patent 337 investigation before the ITC concerning NFC technology and battery technology
• Ultratec, Inc. et al. v. Sorenson Communications, Inc. et al. – Western District of Wisconsin. Represented defendants in multi-patent infringement litigation
• DDB v. Fox Sports Interactive Media – Western District of Texas. Represented subsidiary of a major broadcaster in a patent infringement litigation regarding the right to broadcast and display real-time game updates to fans over the Internet using game simulation technology; jury returned a take nothing verdict of non-infringement, invalidity and inequitable conduct following a two-week trial
• MaxLinear, Inc. v. Silicon Laboratories – Southern District of California and Western District of Texas. Represented as lead associate from pre-answer to claim construction, in the representation of fabless semiconductor defendant Silicon Labs in a patent litigation involving a major competitor in the TV tuner technology
• St. Clair v. Dell – District of Delaware. Represented two major computer manufacturer defendants in a patent litigation involving ACPI, PCI-Express Bus, video compression and ExpressCard technologies
• DDB v. NHL, NFL, MLS – Western District of Texas. Represented three major sports leagues in a patent infringement litigation regarding game simulation technology; matter was resolved shortly after the Markman hearing

• Served as City of Austin "Prosecutor on Loan" and tried two criminal misdemeanor cases to a jury and received guilty verdicts in both cases
• Represented veteran before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in a case on behalf of homeless who challenged the amount of an alleged debt to the VA and requested that the VA waive that debt based on hardship; the VA denied veteran's request based on alleged procedural defects; the appellate court found for veteran, and ordered the VA to substantively consider veteran's request for waiver and address the challenge to the amount of the debt on remand
