DLA Piper advises Vestas Investment Management on the sale of a distribution centre in Venlo

DLA Piper has advised its client Vestas Investment Management, a South-Korean based investment company, on the sale of a distribution centre located in Venlo, the Netherlands. The property, leased by a global transport and logistics company and covering approximately 103,000 square meters of lettable floor area, has been constructed in 2018 and has been sold through a share deal to a Spanish based investor.

Lead partner, Leen van der Marel, comments: “We had the honor of assisting Vestas Investment Management in the sale of a logistics property leased to DSV to an international family office. With the collaboration of our Luxembourg team, we efficiently completed this complex transaction to the satisfaction of our client. This achievement showcases the power of cross border cooperation in our firm. We extend our gratitude to all the parties involved, including Marcel Fleminks and his team at Savills IM, PWC and JLL, who represented the seller and Greenberg Traurig and Knight Frank, who assisted the buyer for their valuable cooperation throughout the entire process.”

The DLA Piper team consisted of Leen van der Marel, Tom van den Berg (Real Estate, Amsterdam), Melody Brunot and Manuela Portela Trigo (Corporate, Luxembourg), working closely together with Vestas Investment Management and Savills Investment Management.
