On 29 October we organise a half-day event DLA Piper Digital Strategy Day 2.0: making simplification and competitiveness in EU digital regulation a success, a high-level discussion on the ongoing simplification of the EU’s digital regulation.
Following our inaugural DLA Piper Digital Strategy Day in 2024, this year’s edition will bring together a distinguished audience of EU policymakers, academics, and industry leaders for an in-depth exchange on the most pressing regulatory challenges in the digital arena. Confirmed participants include representatives from the European Commission, the European Parliament, the OECD, the Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE), and the Future of Privacy Forum (FPF) - ensuring a balanced, forward-looking debate.
Key themes we will be addressing:
- Competitiveness and simplification in digital regulation - what to expect from the upcoming Digital Omnibus?
- Challenges in implementing the Digital Decade framework and new upcoming Digital Fairness Act
- The interplay of key frameworks such as the GDPR, Data Act, and AI Act
- Strengthening inter-institutional coordination to improve regulatory quality in the digital field
The discussion will be followed by a networking lunch.
We look forward to welcoming you for what promises to be a timely and thought-provoking exchange.
