Martin Ellison litigates intellectual property and complex commercial disputes, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation. Whether asserting patent rights or defending against infringement claims, Martin brings a meticulous understanding of patent law, deep technical insight, and courtroom experience to every case.
An experienced trial lawyer for over a decade, Martin has built a track record of success in federal courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. His experience spans all phases of litigation, from pre-suit dispute resolution through trial, and his engineering background has enabled him to cover a broad spectrum of complex technologies. Martin's representations have involved AI and neural networks, image processing and analysis, chemical formulations and medical devices, automobile parts, biometric authentication, security and encryption, wireless communications, semiconductor fabrication, and gas turbine power plants, among others.
Before attending law school, Martin graduated from West Point and served in the United States Army as an intelligence officer. During his time in service, which included two deployments to Iraq, he developed capabilities essential to running a case, including leading a team, arguing in court, questioning witnesses, and developing effective, efficient strategies to achieve the best results.
