David advises developers, investors, contractors, lenders, purchasers, tenants and consultants on all aspects of transactions including drafting and negotiating project-specific documentation and advising on legal issues arising during the planning, design and construction phases.

  • Advising a leading Chicago-based real estate private equity firm on the development and construction aspects of various purpose-built student accommodation projects in Ireland.
  • Advising Allied Irish Banks, P.L.C., Bank of Ireland and Société Générale on the EUR230m Power Capital financing of 7 solar projects in Ireland.
  • Advising Dexcom in respect of the construction of its EMEA manufacturing facility for continuous glucose monitoring devices in Galway, Ireland.
  • Advising a UK lender in connection with project financing for the development of 3 ground mounted photovoltaic solar projects in Ireland.
  • Advising Rabobank and Siemens Financial Services on the financing of a ready to build solar and BESS projects portfolio.
  • Advising a leading UK builder of purpose-built student accommodation and build to rent assets in connection with remediation and refurbishment works to higher risk building developments across the UK using various JCT forms of contract.
  • Advising Greystar on the construction aspects of its EUR150m acquisition of the Point Campus student housing scheme in Dublin.
  • Advising one of Ireland’s largest mixed use developers in respect of significant residential land bank acquisition and the financing and development of major build to rent developments at sites across the greater Dublin area.*
  • Advising a leading Irish and UK real estate investment manager in connection with the acquisition, funding and construction of residential developments at sites across the greater Dublin area and County Galway.*
  • Advising a tier one Irish contractor in respect of Ireland’s first social housing bundle 1 (SHB1) public private partnership (PPP) project, a EUR120m project for the financing, design, construction and maintenance of six social housing development sites located in and around County Dublin.*
  • Advising a syndicate of lenders in connection with development finance for a joint venture for the development of a 330,000 square feet scheme, known as Fibonacci Square, in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, to create Facebook’s European Headquarter Campus.*
  • Advising an international property developer in connection with the EUR140m development of landmark office building, the “Sidings” in Dublin’s South Docks, comprising 10 storey, 160,000 square feet, Grade A office building.*
  • Advising an alternative Irish lender in connection with funding the development of Horgan’s Quay, Cork, to comprise a six-acre mixed used development comprising 302 apartments and office space, including 3 LEED Gold Standard office blocks.*
  • Advising a state owned lender in connection with various aspects of its acquisition and development of social housing and student accommodation throughout Ireland.*
