DLA Piper advises Elisa on the combination of subsidiary Elisa Videra and MVC Mobile VideoCommunication

DLA Piper has advised Elisa, a Finnish market leader in telecommunications, on the combination of its workplace collaboration subsidiary Elisa Videra and MVC Mobile VideoCommunication GmbH, which is owned by KLP Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH.

The transaction is conducted as a share swap and KLP will have a 62.5% holding and Elisa 37.5% of MVC Videra. The transaction is subject to approval by authority in Finland, and the estimated closing is in December 2023. MVC has a strong foothold in central Europe, with operations in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and provides a full suite of video conferencing and unified communication services.

Elisa Videra has a global customer base and provides video collaboration and digital signage services to large international enterprises, by designing, delivering and managing integrated, multi-vendor technology solutions. In 2023, the companies’ combined turnover will be around EUR45 million with a total of around 150 employees.
