DLA Piper advises P3 on the acquisition of a sustainable logistics property from VIB

DLA Piper has advised P3 Logistic Parks, a leading developer and long-term owner of logistics properties in Europe, on the acquisition of a fully leased logistics property from VIB Vermögen AG.

The acquisition of the property in Schwarzenbruck near Nuremberg is a significant step toward strengthening P3's presence in Bavaria, thanks to its strategic location. The property, with approximately 30,858 square meters of leasable space on a 67,475 square meter site, was built in 2018 and is fully leased. It is equipped with a large-scale photovoltaic system that contributes to its own power supply and meets high energy standards. This makes it an ideal fit with P3's strategy, which is focused on CO₂ reduction, energy efficiency, and long-term value retention of its real estate portfolios.

P3 Logistic Parks specializes in the acquisition, development, and management of logistics properties. The company has 8.9 million square metres of rental space across Europe and pursues a long-term investment strategy.

The seller, VIB Vermögen AG, is a medium-sized real estate company based in Neuburg an der Donau. It specializes in the development, acquisition, and management of commercial real estate in Germany.

The mandate also marks an important milestone for the real estate team led by partner Dr Gerold Jaeger. “We have already advised the client on several occasions in connection with its strategic acquisitions of VIB. With this latest acquisition, we are now successfully continuing our collaboration at DLA Piper,“ says partner Dr Gerold Jaeger. “I am delighted that we were able to support P3, an internationally renowned and forward-looking client, in its strategically important investment. I look forward to further joint projects.”

The DLA Piper team was led by partner Dr Gerold Jaeger (Real Estate, Düsseldorf) with associates Dr Christian Kleindopff, Lena Roder (both Real Estate, Düsseldorf) and senior transaction specialist Sabrina Becker (Real Estate, Frankfurt) in the core team. In addition, partner Dr Marie-Theres Rämer, senior associate Albina Daka, and consultant Sabrina Ulbrich (all Tax, Frankfurt) were involved.
