DLA Piper partner Amy Carbins named a Law360 Real Estate MVP

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that partner Amy Carbins, who also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Washington, DC Real Estate practice, has been named a 2020 Law360 Real Estate MVP. Law360 selected just 189 attorneys from more than 900 submissions for its annual list of MVPs, highlighting those who “have distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.”

The publication selected Carbins for her representation of Transform Holdco in its US$1 billion sale of Innovel Solutions to Costco, a transaction that “included the transfer of more than 100 properties” and closed “just days after the WHO declared COVID-19 a global pandemic.” Law360 also highlighted her work advising Transform Holdco on its acquisition of 1,000 real estate assets from the Sears bankruptcy estate.

In her practice, Carbins advises owners, developers, investors, lenders and tenants in acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, restructurings, leases and other matters related to commercial real estate. Her experience includes transactions involving office buildings, hotels and resorts, shopping centers, mixed-use projects, multi-family, senior independent and assisted living community and industrial properties.
