DLA Piper advises Pricoa on the granting of a financing to Real Betis Balompié

DLA Piper has advised Pricoa Private Capital on a 65-million-euro financing granted to Real Betis Balompié, S.A.D.

The main purpose of the facility is to refinance certain financial indebtedness of the Club and to finance other operational needs.

The DLA Piper team advising on the transaction was led by Juan Gelabert, partner of Finance, Projects and Restructuring department, together with Alberto Rubio, Senior Associate, and Sara Espina, Associate, of the same department, altogether members of the Sports Finance team in the Madrid office. They were supported by a broad team including Carlos Rodriguez and Guillermo Bailach, responsible partner and legal director of the tax department, respectively, as well as Borja de Obeso and Andrea Rodriguez, responsible partner and Senior Associate of the Litigation, Arbitration and Regulatory area, respectively. Likewise, the United Kingdom Sports Finance team provided support from the London office with a team led by Lewis Gaut (Leverage Finance partner) and Paul Gray (partner and head of International Sports Finance), and Neil Thomas, senior associate of the Finance practice.
