DLA Piper advises Tech Mahindra on strategic acquisition

DLA Piper has advised technology and consulting company, Tech Mahindra, on its acquisition of a 100% stake in Philippines-based customer experience firm, Orchid Cybertech Services Inc.

“This acquisition recognises the strategic alignment between the companies, which will further enhance Tech Mahindra’s customer service capabilities,” said Melbourne-based Dylan Burke, Corporate Partner, DLA Piper.

“The transaction is symbolic of the rapidly developing technologies and services sectors across the Asia Pacific region. We can expect to see similar cross-border transactions into the future, as the potential of the region is further explored”, said Dylan.

Tech Mahindra is an Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company. Part of the Mahindra Group, the company is registered in Mumbai.

“We were pleased to advise Tech Mahindra on this significant transaction, which signifies their focus and commitment to the region,” said Dylan.

The deal team was led by corporate partner Dylan Burke, with the support of corporate partner Joel Cox and solicitor Caera McGill.

For the 14th consecutive year, DLA Piper was the highest-ranked legal advisor in the world for M&A deal volume, according to Mergermarket's league tables. The firm was involved in 1,062 transactions worldwide in 2023 valued at approximately USD60.6 billion.
