DLA Piper partner Robert J. Sherman named to Billboard's 2025 Top Music Lawyers list

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Robert J. Sherman, Co-Chair of the firm’s Entertainment Finance practice, has been named to Billboard’s 2025 Top Music Lawyers list.

In its profile of Sherman, the publication highlighted his representation of Concord, a leading independent music company, in its US$850 million music securitization, one of the largest asset-backed securities deals of 2024. Along with Concord, Sherman also represents a roster of clients that includes HarborView Equity Partners, Duetti, Multimedia Music and Bella Figura Music, among others.

Sherman focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border financings, acquisitions and strategic transactions for clients in the entertainment and media industries. He represents banks, private equity funds, sponsors, independent production companies, commercial banks and private debt funds, motion picture studios, TV and film production and distribution companies, record companies, music publishers, concert and other live event promoters and other participants in complex motion picture, TV, digital content and music industry transactions.
