DLA Piper guides Trump Media & Technology Group in successfully dismissing counterclaims and third-party claims

DLA Piper achieved a highly favorable decision for Plaintiff Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (Trump Media) in the 12th Judicial Circuit Court in Sarasota, Florida, dismissing counterclaims brought by United Atlantic Ventures LLC, Andrew Litinsky, Wesley Moss, ARC Global Investment II LLC, and Patrick Orlando (collectively “the Defendants”).

DLA Piper also secured the dismissal of all third-party claims brought against President Donald J. Trump; Donald Trump Jr.; Devin Nunes, Trump Media Chief Executive Officer and current Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board; Daniel Scavino, former Trump Media Director and current White House Deputy Chief of Staff; and Kashyap “Kash” Patel, former Trump Media Director and current Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). All these individuals are represented by DLA Piper in their personal (non-governmental) capacity.

Trump Media, operator of the social media platform Truth Social, is seeking damages from Defendants arising from an alleged pre-targeting conspiracy in the run-up to the SPAC merger that took Truth Social public.
