Pia Opulencia is Head of Client Service Delivery and Solutions Innovation within DLA Piper's AI Practice. Pia works at the intersection of AI and law, building technology systems to improve matter outcomes, navigate rights and obligations, and support post-merger due diligence workflows. She brings more than 20 years of experience building products across AI, data, analytics, healthcare personalization, IoT infrastructure, and language analysis and generation systems.

  • Served as VP of Product at a global cellular IoT platform operating across 196 countries and 550 carriers
  • Served as Director of Technical Product Management for Platform and UX at a narrative generation company, contributing to a patent family on automatic narrative generation from data using communication goals
  • Led integration of an email threading engine into the Relativity e-discovery platform as Analytics Product Manager
  • Built predictive fraud detection models for Medicare-related work using speech-to-text call center transcripts and rule-based text extraction
