Lisa is a Projects lawyer who advises both local and international investors, sponsors, contractors and financiers in a variety of industry sectors, with a particular focus on the energy, oil and gas and infrastructure sectors in Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region.

Passionate about energy transition, Lisa provides invaluable advice and support to clients navigating this evolving landscape. Her expertise includes preparing and negotiating project documents, conducting risk analysis, and securing project financing.

Lisa is enthusiastic about building lasting relationships with clients and looks forward to contributing to the development and construction of diverse energy projects, including energy storage, pumped hydro storage, battery storage, hydrogen, solar, and wind initiatives.

EXPERIENCE

Advising:

  • Asian Development Bank and Electricidade de Timor-Leste on the negotiation of a power purchase agreement for a BESS of up to 50MW and solar power plant of up to 100MW in Timor-Leste. 
  • Asia-Pacific & Japan technology company with its contracting arrangements for the supply of electricity for Google’s data centres including negotiating connection agreements, early works agreement and electricity supply agreements. 
  • Solar United Network on the acquisition and financing arrangements of the 132 MWdc / 100MWac Merredin Solar Farm in Western Australia including negotiating an O&M agreement and warranty and performance guarantee deed, as well as undertaking buyer due diligence and financier due diligence on the full suite of project agreements. 
  • BE Power on the project development of a 400MW / 200MWh pumped hydropower and energy storage project near Toowoomba, Queensland, including preparing and negotiating an ECI Agreement, EPC contract, offtake arrangements and loan agreements. 
  • Hydrostor on all aspects of the project development of a 200 MW / 1,600 MWh utility-scale advanced compressed air energy storage facility, including preparing and negotiating ECI Agreements, EPC contracts, offtake arrangements, network support agreement and negotiating a long term energy storage services agreement with the NSW Government. 
  • Sosteneo SGR S.p.A in relation to the proposed acquisition from Edify Energy of the 185MW / 370MWh battery energy storage system to be constructed in the Murray-River region of North-West Victoria, including undertaking project and project contracting due diligence on the full suite of project agreements and connection agreements.
  • BlackRock Real Assets on the AUD1bn acquisition of Akaysha Energy’s battery energy storage system (BESS), who has a portfolio of 9 BESS projects under development in the national electricity market across Australia. 
  • A leading Australian power producer and renewable energy developer on the sale and purchase of hydrogen in connection with its large-scale renewables-based hydrogen project located in Queensland. 
  • A South Korean steel making company on the structure of a hydrogen sale and purchase agreement in respect of the green hydrogen plant proposed to be constructed in Port Hedland, Western Australia.  
  • Engie and Mitsui on the Yuri Renewable Hydrogen to Ammonia Project in Karratha, Western Australia, including advising on the renewable hydrogen purchase agreement and EPC Contract, negotiating the ARENA funding agreement and undertaking project due diligence.
