Saudi Arabia and New Zealand to have new negotiation round for Double Tax Treaty

According to a press update from the New Zealand authorities, a new round of negotiations for a Double Tax Treaty (DTT) with Saudi Arabia is scheduled for April 2026. The first negotiations took place in 2017. We will report on further developments as they occur.

 

Kuwait ratifies Protocol to Double Tax Treaty with Jordan       

On 8 March 2026, Kuwait has ratified the amending Protocol to the Kuwait-Jordan DTT. Further developments will be reported as they occur. 

 

Kazakhstan approves Double Tax Treaty with Oman     

According to a press update of 22 April 2026, Kazakhstan’s parliament has approved the DTT between Oman and Kazakhstan, as concluded in 2025. We will report on further developments as they occur. 

 

Qatar and New Zealand hold first round of negotiations for Double Tax Treaty

According to a press update from the New Zealand authorities, a first round of negotiations for a DTT with Qatar is scheduled for November 2026. Further developments will be reported as they occur. 

 

Austria authorizes negotiations for amending Protocol to Double Tax Treaty with UAE     

On 15 April 2026, the Austrian Council of Ministers provided authorization to the Ministry of Finance for an amending Protocol to the DTT between Austria and the UAE. We will report on further developments as they occur.

 

Bahraini Lower House approves Double Tax Treaty with Jersey      

On 7 April 2026, Bahrain’s Council of Representatives has approved the DTT between Bahrain and Jersey. The DTT still needs approval from the Bahraini Upper House. Further developments will be reported as they occur. 

 

Saudi Arabian Council of Ministers approves Double Tax Treaty with Bahrain     

On 21 April 2026, the Saudi Arabian Council of Ministers has approved the DTT between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. We will report on further developments as they occur.
