Emily Kral is a member of DLA Piper’s Antitrust and Competition group. Her practice focuses on regulatory approval of mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance, consumer protection issues, government investigations, and state and federal antitrust litigation.

Emily has experience defending clients in investigations by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), advising on mergers and acquisitions, and developing antitrust compliance programs. She has represented clients across a range of industries, including retail, software and technology, hospitals, manufacturing, and private equity. Emily combines her antitrust knowledge with her public accounting background to deliver unique and creative solutions.

Emily also has an active pro bono practice, representing members of underrepresented communities in criminal, civil and appellate litigation.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Emily was a Corporate Accountant at a publicly traded real estate investment trust.   

Earlier, Emily was an Audit Associate at an international accounting firm where she worked on public company mergers and preparing clients for initial public offerings.

During law school, Emily worked as a Legal Intern on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and a Legal Fellow on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
