DLA Piper strengthens litigation team with the addition of William McNamara‎

DLA Piper welcomes William (Bill) McNamara as counsel in the firm’s Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations practice. Based in Toronto, Bill brings decades of experience leading product‑liability defence and commercial litigation, strategic insight and a proven track record in handling critical litigation matters across Canada. 

Bill’s practice spans complex commercial litigation, with a particular focus on defending product liability class actions, antitrust and competition law matters, infrastructure and construction claims, banking law, insolvency and restructuring, and corporate disputes. He has appeared before trial and appellate courts in Ontario, Québec, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, as well as the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Competition Tribunal and numerous arbitral panels. Fully bilingual in English and French, Bill conducts trials and appellate advocacy in both languages.
