Unlocking Displaced Talent Mobility for Belgium

Lunch Event

20 June 2024 | 12:00 – 14:00

DLA Piper Brussels
70 Rue aux Laines
1000 Brussels
Belgium

DLA Piper has a long standing Pro Bono Practice committed to providing free legal advice and support to NGOs, UN agencies, social entrepreneurs and individuals in need. For a decade, we have been collaborating with NGOs and governments to further protect the rights of people who are forced to flee their country of origin due to war and persecution. Together with our partners, we work towards refugees’ social and economic inclusion.

On the occasion of World Refugee Day, our DLA Piper office in Brussels has the honour of inviting you to a private event to present the Displaced Talent for Europe (DT4E) project which facilitates skilled migration for talented refugees to respond to labour market shortages in Europe. This initiative is funded by the European Commission, led by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and is implemented with Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) and Fedasil.

During this event, you will hear from the European Commission about the opportunities that such mobility pathways for refugee talent offer to the European and Belgian labour markets, you will learn more about the concrete steps for the international recruitment of refugees in Belgium, and you will be inspired by success stories from employers. You will also have ample time to ask all of your questions in dedicated roundtables, while enjoying your lunch.

Given the hands-on nature of the event, we highly recommend you to come with your company’s HR Manager and other interested colleagues.
