DLA Piper advises Edmonton Exchanger & Manufacturing Ltd. on strategic cross‑border acquisition

DLA Piper advised Edmonton Exchanger & Manufacturing Ltd. (EDEX), a Canada-based manufacturer of tank heads and custom heavy-fabricated components, on the strategic acquisition of the assets of Uni‑Form Components Co.

The assets were officially acquired by an affiliate of EDEX, which will operate in the United States under the name Uni-Form Components Corp. The acquisition marks a significant milestone for EDEX as it broadens its capabilities and strengthens its North American footprint.

The cross-border DLA Piper team was led by Partner Ian Reynolds, K.C. (Edmonton) and included Partner Kevin Fritz (Toronto), and Associates Stirling Wood, Brenan Molzahn, and Leah Buchanan (all Edmonton) in Canada.
