Kateryna Lahodivets advises clients on a wide range of banking and finance law matters in both cross-border and local transactions. Her clients include developments lenders, banks, public and private corporates operating in various sectors.

Kateryna is particularly interested in capital markets and derivative matters.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising a major Ukrainian corporate on Ukrainian law matters of a consent solicitation in respect of the outstanding USD500 million loan participation notes issued for the sole purpose of financing a loan to the said company.
  • Advising the national working group on development of standardised documentation for Ukrainian law-governed over-the-counter derivative transactions.
  • Advising major Austrian bank on the enforceability, structuring and close-out netting arrangements under Ukrainian law of derivative transactions documented under the 2002 ISDA Master Agreement (English-law governed). The transaction is among the first derivative deals concluded in Ukraine after close-out netting regulations under the Capital Markets Law became effective.
  • Advising an international financial institution on Ukrainian law matters of a local currency loan equivalent to USD 65 million for the acquisition of the country’s leading pay-TV and cable broadband service provider in the retail segment.
