DLA Piper advises VDK Groep on acquisition of leading construction equipment provider Builtech

DLA Piper has advised VDK Groep, a leading Dutch installation and service business, on its acquisition of European construction specialist Builtech, a leading technical building equipment provider, specialising in integrated construction, installation technology and renovation services for commercial and residential projects. This acquisition marks a significant step in VDK Groep’s ongoing expansion into new European markets and consolidates its position in the Netherlands as it moves towards becoming a market leader in installation technology in the country.

The acquisition of Builtech adds a complementary portfolio of services and local capabilities in Germany, Sweden, Austria and Switzerland, enabling the combined group to scale operations and enhance cross-border delivery capabilities. Through this acquisition, VDK Groep will have more than 7000 employees, 150 local companies and around 2 billion Euros in revenues.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

VDK Groep, founded in 2013 and headquartered in the Netherlands, is a rapidly growing platform. The group focuses on mission-critical construction, maintenance and renovation services with a strong presence across the Benelux region.
