Billy Tang is an experienced commercial litigator focused on high-stakes, complex and cross-border disputes. His practice primarily covers financial services, with significant experience across the insurance, technology, energy, life sciences and transport sectors.
Billy advises on a broad range of commercial disputes, including joint venture and shareholders’ disputes, insolvency and asset recovery, restructuring (including schemes of arrangement) and fraud tracing.
He has acted for regulators overseas and regularly assists clients with regulatory investigations and regulatory and compliance risk management. His work also extends to internal investigations and reviews of compliance frameworks, aligning local requirements with global policies and standards.
Having practised in both Hong Kong and Australia, Billy works closely with lawyers across APAC and the Chinese Mainland to develop coordinated litigation strategies, including parallel proceedings, asset preservation and cross-border enforcement.
