DLA Piper advises Nooteboom Textiles, a Bencis portfolio company, on acquisition of Hemmers Itex

DLA Piper has advised Nooteboom Textiles, a portfolio company of international private equity fund Bencis Capital Partners, on the acquisition of Hemmers Itex Textil Import Export GmbH. The seller is the textile company Leeds Group plc, based in West Yorkshire, England.

Nooteboom is a leading European finished fabrics wholesaler specialised in women and children’s fabrics for home sewing and small tailors as well as home-decoration. It offers standard collections, seasonal series and custom series through a multi-channel sales approach to more than 5,000 B2B-customers in over 50 countries. Hemmers Itex offers a complete service for the purchase and production of fabrics. The company, based in Nordhorn, Germany, is a pan-European supplier to wholesalers, retailers and renowned ready-to-wear manufacturers.
