DLA Piper advises PKO Bank Polski and ING Polska on the PLN 770 million refinancing of Student Depot

DLA Piper has advised PKO Bank Polski and ING Polska, acting as lenders, on the refinancing of a portfolio of 10 existing private student accommodation assets owned by Student Depot and located in Poland’s major cities: Warsaw, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Poznań, Kraków, Łódź and Lublin. The transaction also included the financing of the development of a new Student Depot asset in Gdańsk. The total value of the financing was in excess of PLN 770 million.

The advice included a comprehensive legal due diligence, support in all real estate matters, and the drafting and negotiating the finance documentation.

The transaction was led by partner Katarzyna Wacławek, supported by senior associate Alicja Ciebiera, associate Ewelina Szlachcic, and junior associates Aleksander Eggink, Jakub Figura and Wojciech Rudnik from the Finance team. Partner supervision over the due diligence work was provided by partner Michał Pietuszko, supported by senior associate Wojciech Sulimierski and associate Monika Dmochowska from the Real Estate team.
